Adventures in astronomy

Having seen in focus spots on my images the last few sessions, I took the ZWO ASI 210MC camera ito th house, set up a clean area and proceeded to give it a going over.
Step one was to remove the 0.5x focal reducer and set it aside.  Then the  5.4" nosepiece came off.
Looking closely at the glass window overtop the sensor, I could see no dust or particles.  So the nosepiece went back on and I took a look at the focal reducer.  Wow.. lots of dust.  using a lens pen brush I was able to get most of it off with just a little use of the felt pad.
Reassembled, put into a plastic ziplock baggie and waiting to go back out on a clear night... looks like Saturday 2016 Sept 24th
