KC member Norm Welbanks has passed away. (You can read Norm's obituary in the Whig-Standard here: Obituary.) The funeral service will be at the Riverside United Church in Yarker on Saturday Dec. 12:
10:00am - 11:30am: greeting/chat time
11:30am - Noon: service, followed by a luncheon.
After the luncheon those who wish can join the family for the interment of the ashes in the Columbarium at the Newburgh United Church Cemetery on County Rd. #1.

M Pins Presented

At the June RASCKC Meeting, presentations were made to members who have completed their Messier Observing Program Certificates. On hand to receive them were: Doug Angle, Leo Enright, Kim Hay, Steve Manders and Kevin Kell.

For the those who were not in attendance, the pins have been mailed out: Martin McConnell, Ray Berg, Ken Kingdon, Vic Smida, Mark Kaye, Norm Welbanks, Leo Brodeur and also to other current Centre members who finished the program while members of other centres: Walter MacDonald, John Hurley and Jan Wisniewski.
